Last January I got to score Ian Stone and Meredith Binder’s You’re Here, which is currently being mixed and will be hitting the festival circuit very soon indeed.
Since finishing that, I’ve been hard at work composing (more like obsessed really) for a Dota 2 music-pack. I decided to go with a guitar-based approach. There are plenty of orchestral textures, but in the context of a rock band. It’s been a blast working on this, and I’m really happy with the way it’s turning out. I’ve got about a third of it mixed so far, and look forward to getting some feedback from the Dota community before submitting to Valve. You can hear 4 tracks right here.
Next up is a 48Hour Film Project, for the New York competiton! I did one back in 2010, which you can see on YouTube: Sister Billie’s Sinner Hour.
About the same time I’m going to start work on Todd Johnson’s film I Saw You. I scored Todd’s Remain’s of the Date a couple of years ago, and am really looking forward to working with him again!
Oh, and my wife gave me this awesome hand-made guitar strap and the newest Chad Robertson book Tartine 3 for my birthday! I am a happy boy. 🙂
